SmartDrive Congratulates Honorees of the SmartDrive “Top Performer Award”

Over the last year, SmartDrive evaluated the driving performance of tens of thousands of drivers over millions of driving miles and events, scoring more than 70 different driving observations. Top drivers were selected based on evaluations of their safe driving skills over the total miles driven by them this year. SmartDrive has dramatically grown its install base within national trucking fleets and these drivers represent the top 1% among the safest drivers as measured by SmartDrive’s driving performance program.

Bozzuto’s Driver: Robert Hand

Robert Hand has been a professional driver for nearly 35 years. In his long professional career, he has driven Macks, Internationals, Fords, Sterlings and, currently, a Freightliner — logging nearly two million miles along the way. Robert joined the Bozzuto’s team in 2006, and last year drove over 60,000 miles.

Verst Group Driver: Doug Perrin

For the last 30 years, Doug Perrin has been a devoted and decorated professional driver. With 28 consecutive years of receiving safe driving awards, Doug has exemplified the meaning of being a “hero” on the road. Doug has spent the last 20 years of his professional career at Verst Group and been recognized as top driver at Verst safety conferences.
